It is the season for affordable smartphones to perform it together. We had Apple, we expect Google and Samsung just threw his selection into the ring. The Galaxy A-series will be renewed next month. It starts with the Galaxy A36 from $ 400, then the Galaxy A26 for $ 300. The Galaxy A56 starts at $ 500 and also gets a bump, although there is no expected release date yet. All three devices have ‘great intelligence’, which seems to be Samsung’s rebranding from Galaxy Ai for its cheaper devices.
The Galaxy A56, A36 and A26 are all supplied with the same screen, although they each offer a different level of essence. Each phone has a 6.7-inch Super Amoled display with a refresh rate of 120h all telephones start with 128 GB storage. Samsung’s Exynos 1580 chipset feeds the Galaxy A56, while the Galaxy A26 and A26 Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 platform perform. Only the Galaxy A56 offers 8 GB RAM, while the A36 and A26 are stuck with 6 GB. It will be interesting to see how great intelligence works, since the flagships have all gone the opposite way to adopt more RAM to house AI. Software updates are also locked here; Samsung promises six years of support and Android Os updates.
The camera systems in the A-series all vary, but only little by little. The Galaxy A56 considered the “highest” layer of the trio, has a 12-MP ultrawide camera, a 50-MP primary camera, a 5-MP macro camera and a 12-MP camera on the front. The Galaxy A36, starting at $ 300, has the same primary camera, but is chosen up to an 8-MP ultrawide camera and a 5-MP macro camera. There is also a 12-MP camera on the front. The Galaxy A26, the cheapest for $ 300, has anything but a 20-MP macro camera and a 13-MP camera on the front.
Great intelligence
What exactly is “great intelligence”, you probably ask yourself? It is Samsung’s attempt to rebranding artificial intelligence for the budget setup of telephones. It is good for Samsung to think of a way to distinguish its product from Galaxy Ai, because that sounds more “progressive” than to be “great”. With Awesome Intelligence you can use important Google Gemini skills, such as Circle to Search, including the new option launched in the Galaxy S25 series that helps you identify a number. It also gives you access to Galaxy AI functions such as Object GUM. Apart from a few other important Samsung functions, such as nightography -algorithms in the camera app, that is about it. It is enough great intelligence to let you say, “Great!” Or something.
This is a slightly different approach than Apple and Google, which use the same processor for their flagship and cheaper devices to offer software parity in the ecosystem. Samsung chose to lean instead where the performance of production remains strong. That is why you see murderer screens and larger batteries on the budget -friendly phones from Samsung. It will be interesting to see how Samsung continues to close AI functions from flagships to the cheaper subset and what it regards “essential” functions for great intelligence.
