Although the Seattle Seahawks Geno Smith publicly supports almost every occasion, many still seem to believe that he will not be the starter of the team in 2025.
Whether they actually believe it or just want another quarterback under the center is the gamble, but anyway, it doesn’t seem very likely scenario.
Seth Walder from ESPN clearly agrees, because he was Smith’s starting quarterback of the team this fall and placed him in the “decent gamble” layer. However, there is a slight reservation for that projection.
“Smith is almost locked up, but I expect that the Seahawks will select a quarterback in this year’s design and you will never know how things will shake if that happens. Yet Smith has been a solid steward of this attack despite a shaky attacking line and wrestling Run. In October, so it’s 35 in October, so it’s 35 in October, so it’s 35 in October, so it’s 35 in October.
The idea of drawing up a quarterback this year seems a pretty popular one. It seems unlikely that the Seahawks would set one in the first round, but taking one in the later rounds seems more than plausible. If that is the case, that Quarterback would probably not immediately be contrary to the runway.
Smith, 34, had a bit of a “down” year in 2024 and completed 70.4 percent of its passes for 4,320 yards, 21 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. Although that touchdown interception is not great, it is important to remember how bad the attacking line of the Seahawks and Run game were this season.
Whether Smith still lingers after the following season, remains uncertain, but he has done enough to earn himself a chance this fall.
